Just like any other living being, your dog has specific receptors in their brain and central nervous system that make up their endocannabinoid system. The Hemp oil latch onto these receptors and support your dog's endocannabinoid system by supplying essential phytonutrients. Hemp oil can be given orally or topically.
How often should I give PurestDog Hemp oil to my dog?
You can give your dog Purestdog Calming oil as often as you'd like, but we recommend following the recommended dosage guidelines based on your dog's weight. Improvement may require multiple treatments. For pain control, give Hemp oil approximately every 8 hours. For other uses or to break unwanted behavior patterns, give once or twice a day. Our Hemp oil is safe, natural, pesticide-free, and organic.
What is the correct dosage for my dog?
Determining the proper dosage of Hemp for your dog is an art, not a science. Every dog is unique and may require more or less Hemp to achieve the desired effect. We recommend starting with half the recommended amount if your dog is new to Hemp and then increasing it gradually. Your dog may respond well to a lower dosage. If you don't notice any change, you can increase the dose to the full recommended amount.
Some dogs may require more Hemp Oil , and it is acceptable to increase the amount gradually over time. For example, if your 50lb dog is not responding to 1-2mg of a 250mg tincture, you can increase the amount by 50% the following day, giving your dog a 3mg dose of Oil. You can continue to increase the amount until you see the desired effects.
